Why we built Niyog

Every business runs on a channel nobody built software for.

Two billion people use WhatsApp for business every day. The brokers, the clinics, the coaching centres, the D2C founders. They run their entire operation through one app — and no one had built the team for it. So we did.

The moment

The same scene, in office after office.

We built websites and workflows for Indian SMBs, which meant we sat in their offices. And the same scene played out everywhere — a brokerage owner opens WhatsApp to dozens of unread messages, several from buyers asking about the same listing, some of whom have already walked into a competitor’s office while waiting for a reply.

The hours go to triage — copy-pasting prices, sending floor plans, pinging the team to take site visits. Every lead answered fast was a lead kept. Every lead that waited longer than an hour was usually gone. The pattern was identical across brokers, clinics, coaching centres, and shops.

So we wrote the first version of an auto-reply that caught incoming leads the instant they arrived. It worked — and it told us this was not a one-off script. It was a category nobody had built.

The WhatsApp business gap was not a feature missing from any tool. It was a whole team missing from the channel. We have been building that team ever since.

The same product, the same agents, the same WhatsApp number — works in Mumbai and Manchester. We started here because the problem is sharpest here. We did not stay here because the problem is not.

Where we’ve been

The honest timeline.

  1. 2022

    Started as a website and workflow studio for Indian SMBs. We saw the same problem in brokerage after brokerage: leads coming in on WhatsApp faster than anyone could answer them.

  2. 2023

    Wrote the first version of what would become Alex — an auto-reply that caught WhatsApp leads the moment they came in, so they stopped going cold while the owner was busy. That prototype told us the gap was a category, not a one-off.

  3. Jan 2026

    Niyog AI as it stands today went live. Twenty-six agents across six departments, all reachable through one WhatsApp number.

  4. 2026

    Built the multi-tenant pipeline so the platform runs per-workspace: a daily owner briefing, infrastructure monitoring, and a pipeline snapshot, ready to activate the moment a business onboards. We also shipped the instant try-it sandbox, so anyone can message the AI and watch it reply as their own team in under a minute.
